FAQ

You can join our server on Java Edition and Bedrock edition

Java Edition (PC)

bnlx.buildtheearth.net

Bedrock Edition (Console)

1. bedrock.buildtheearth.net with port: 19132.

2. On consoles (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo) follow this tutorial.

3. Once on the server, do /bt BNLX.

If you've been accepted as a builder, you need to link your discord account with the Minecraft server.

To do that join bnlx.buildtheaarth.net and use /discord link.

Builders can use /tpll [coordinates], this is how you use it.

Visitors can use /warp or /goto [location].

You can measure height by calculating the difference between the ground altitude and the roof altitude, such that "Roof Altitude" - "Ground Altitude" = "Building Height".

Here is an example of how to measure height in Google Earth Pro.

If there is no 3D in your area, you can use "Google Streetview" to estimate the height by using nearby objects as markers. For example: A human is about 1.75 Meters tall, so a building that fits 3 human heights, is 5 Meters Tall.

To apply for the Builder role, you must apply on the website.

The requirements are as follows:

  1. You must have built 2 real buildings.
  2. You must have built on the BTE Terra 1:1 world.
  3. The buildings must be in the correct geographic location.
  4. The buildings must have accurate proportions and rotation.
  5. Questions marked with [Optional] are not required, but answering them is appreciated.

Exceptions: You are allowed to apply with builds created in other BTE Teams, Minefact or Geocraft.

For other 1:1 projects, please ask a Staff member.

To apply for Staff positions, you must apply to this form. Our staff team includes:

  1. Administrator: The Owners/Leaders of the BTE Benelux project.
  2. Manager: Manage different staff teams within the BTE Benelux project.
  3. Moderator: Moderate chats to keep them User-Friendly.
  4. Developer: Develop mods, plugins, bots, and websites.
  5. Public Relations: Manage BTE Benelux's Social media platforms.
  6. Reviewer: Review builder applications.
  7. Helper: Help with moderator duties, to a lesser extent.
  8. Community Team: Organize events, collaborations, and outreach.
  9. Cartographer: Map progress, and maintain the Benelux Progress map.

There are several reasons why we are unable to Collaborate with Geocraft:

  1. Geocraft doesn't use the Terra 1:1 mod that is required for BTE.
  2. Geocraft doesn't use the same projection as us, so buildings will be warped and mis-shapen.
  3. Geocraft's projection uses a different orientation than us, so a house that may be facing north, will instead be facing more east or west.
  4. BTE's goals and Geocraft's are different, we base the project around completing earth, while Geocraft's goal is to Complete the Netherlands only.

Yes, we try to regularly host Building Events on the server, some of these events are "Builder-Only", while other events are completely open to the public. To be notified about these events, select the Event role in the 〖🎭〗other-roles channel.
